info about adding an advert

You can add adverts to the website in either text or image form. The details of the different options are listed below.

Local Business Image 180x90Px

Appear on the right hand side of the find a local business page. In each of the Local Areas there are ads in each business category which will gaurantee that your name is prominently displayed.  Each image based advert will be given a free of charge text based listing in the same category and area.

Local Business Text

This advert will appear with the search results for each area and category of business. The text listing displays a title and a website address as well as a short description of what you do.

Hip provider Image 180x90Px

Appear on the right hand side of the hip search results page. Allows you to promote what you do in the part of the site where users are looking for hip companies. There are advertising blocks in each local area.

Artwork Specification (For your design / marketing team)

Image based adverts can be jpeg, gif or png files for static images and gif for animated images. The system will resize jpeg files but other files should be designed to be 180 pixels wide by 90 pixels high. When the system resizes it will use a best fit for all jpegs that are not 2x1 width to height. All files should be limited to 50k in file size.
