The PCCB ensures that private organisations providing property search reports and Home Information Packs comply with the Search Code and the HIP Code.
the search code
The Search Code provides protection for homebuyers, sellers, conveyancers and mortgage lenders, who rely on the information included in property search reports undertaken on residential property within the United Kingdom.
the hip code
The Association of Home Information Pack Providers developed the HIP code in order to ensure that the standard of HIP provision amongst its members was consistently high and provided full protection for consumers.
