The Association of Home Information Pack Providers developed the HIP code in order to ensure that the standard of HIP provision amongst its members was consistently high and provided full protection for consumers. The code will be reviewed regularly to take into account changing market conditions, and amendments to regulations. The vast majority of HIP providers subscribe to the code and we would not encourage any consumer, agent or other professional to use Home Information Packs that are non HIP Code compliant. The code includes free to access, independent redress for consumers meaning that you can have complete confidence in both the product and the supplier.

To oversee that the individual HIP providers are code compliant, an inspection regime has been put into place by an independently run scheme called the Property Codes Compliance Board (PCCB). This will overlook and control the CoPSO search code and the AHIPP HIP Code.
